If you are willing to clean kennels, cages, bowls, and toys, this job is for you! Keeping the kennels and cages sanitary and fresh, is one of our greatest needs. You will work alongside staff to maintain the healthy conditions in our animal shelter. See shelter contact information below.
Our cats/kittens need to be socialized. Do you enjoy spending one-on-one time with cats? Help our cats become more adoptable and help reduce shelter stress by providing exercise, stimulation and play time. Holding, playing, combing and brushing the cats gives them some much needed attention, helping them become comfortable with human contact and much more adoptable. See shelter contact information below.
Do you like meeting and talking with people? We need volunteers to meet and greet shelter visitors, guide them to adoption areas and answer frequently asked questions (cheat-sheet provided!). Training is required and no prior experience is necessary! See shelter contact information below.
Do you like computer work or assisting with business operations? This job helps with data entry, gift acknowledgment, addressing/folding/stuffing letters for mailings and other office work. See shelter contact information below.
Having foster homes allows us to take in litters of puppies and kittens that might otherwise be turned away. All that is required is that you enjoy caring for little ones, love them and keep them safe. (Application, interview and training required.) See shelter contact information below.
Do you enjoy public speaking and communicating? Share your compassion for animals with those who need/want to know. Applicable professional knowledge necessary. See shelter contact information below.
You can help in the planning and execution of our special events and fundraisers. These fun events provide a diverse range of opportunities to use your skills and creativity. See shelter contact information below.
Do you enjoy taking a dog for a walk? This program allows trained volunteers to take one of our dogs from the shelter for a wonderful walk which provides needed socialization and exercise. See shelter contact information below.
